Terms of use
Effective: October 20, 2026
1. Purpose and service
These terms govern Ttaom, which provides screen capture, image editing, image pinning and local AI features for Windows. You can read these terms in the app’s About screen before or after installation.
2. Use and licenses
You may use Ttaom for personal and work purposes. These terms alone do not grant access to the app’s source code or redistribution rights. Fonts, AI models and libraries have their own licenses listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt and the licenses folder; these terms do not limit rights granted by those licenses.
3. Capture, editing and sharing
Ensure you have the necessary rights to the material you use and respect others’ privacy, copyright and trade secrets. AI can miss faces or process backgrounds incorrectly, so check results before saving or sharing. Faces you choose not to hide remain visible.
4. Data processing and reports
Capture and AI processing happen on your PC. Captures, window titles, usage history and error logs are not sent automatically. Settings, pinned images and logs stay in your user data folder. Background removal uses temporary files and cleans them up afterward, but files may remain after an unexpected shutdown. Diagnostics include app and Windows versions, CPU thread count, memory, screen size and scale, and model status. User names, PC names, window titles and personal file paths are not added automatically. You can choose whether to include diagnostics in a report. Pressing Send submits your text and selected diagnostics and images to the report server. Images are converted to PNG with original names and photo metadata removed. Remove any personal or confidential information visible in images yourself before sending. Reports and attachments older than 30 days are removed in daily cleanup. Temporary analysis artifacts are kept for at most one day. Private analysis logs follow the development repository’s retention period. Code fixes and review records may remain in that repository as needed for quality management. Services receive connection information such as IP addresses during communication.
5. Updates and removal
When automatic update checks and downloads are enabled, the app connects to a public distribution server, which receives information such as IP addresses needed for the connection. Capture content is not sent. You can disable automatic checks and downloads in Settings. Downloaded updates are applied when you choose to restart, after checking for unsaved work. Features and supported environments may change with updates. User data may remain after uninstalling; manage it separately through the data folder in the About screen. Back up important images separately.
6. Responsibility and your rights
The provider works to reduce errors but does not guarantee operation in every environment or perfectly accurate AI results. These terms do not exclude or limit liability for the provider’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights. Liability and dispute resolution are governed by applicable law.
7. Changes and contact
Changes to these terms will be announced in the app or distribution information with their effective date and details. Submit problems and suggestions through About → Report a problem.
